CrowdStrike Installs a Human Emergency Stop for Enterprise Agents
CrowdStrike launched the Falcon Guardian AI Kill Switch at Fal.Con Europe on 2026-11-03, which the company says is available now, gateway side first and endpoint side to follow; the Fiddler acquisition is a signed agreement that has not closed.

WHAT HAPPENEDWhat Happened
CrowdStrike announced at the Fal.Con Europe conference in Barcelona on 2026-11-03 that it is launching an AI Kill Switch on the Falcon Guardian platform, which the company says is available from today.
According to the company, when an agent deviates from expected behavior, an authorized administrator can trigger the switch to terminate the running agent, prevent it from restarting on the target host or host group, and cut its enterprise network access, with every step recorded in an audit log.
In execution order, termination lands on the gateway side first, with endpoint-side termination to follow; Falcon Guardian already offered discovery of agents inside the enterprise, behavioral policies and detection of attacks against agents, and the Kill Switch adds the final human stop authority.
The same set of announcements included CrowdStrike's signed agreement to acquire Fiddler, an AI agent observability company, subject to customary closing conditions, to be brought into the platform as Falcon Observe; this is an acquisition agreement, not a completed deal.
WHY IT MATTERSAgent Governance Moves from Discovery to the Stop Button
Discovery, policies and attack detection are before and during an incident; the Kill Switch is the human brake afterwards. Whether enterprises dare to put agents into production at scale often depends on whether someone can stop them with one click when something goes wrong, not on how complete the monitoring dashboard is.
The gateway-first, endpoint-later order is also worth noting: the gateway can sever model access and network paths, but an agent's residual local execution on the endpoint still needs endpoint-side termination to be fully closed off, so until that feature lands, the completeness of a stop has to be discounted.
SIGNAL JUDGMENT — ANALYSISThe Signal Is the Human Stop Authority, Not the Monitoring Dashboard
Tokenta Signal's judgment: competition in agent security is shifting from being able to see to being able to stop, and the Kill Switch's value lies in the final human decision right when something goes wrong. The next signal is when endpoint-side termination lands, and whether observability is truly integrated into Falcon once the Fiddler deal closes.
